Your Child's FAST Test Scores are Now Available

Dear Parent(s)/Guardian(s),

We would like to inform you that your child’s results from the Florida Assessment of Student Thinking (FAST) progress monitoring are now available.

FAST assessments are administered three times each school year (PM1, PM2, and PM3) and provide valuable insight into your child’s progress in Reading and Mathematics based on Florida’s B.E.S.T. Standards. These results help both families and educators track academic growth and tailor instruction to meet each student's needs.

  • Progress comparison to previous assessments (if applicable)

🔍 How to Access the Results

You can view your child’s FAST results by visiting the Florida Department of Education Family Portal

You’ll need the secure access code provided by your child’s school. If you do not have this code, please contact us.

Accessing Results Through Focus

Results can also be found by clicking on the Florida Statewide Assessments link on your child’s Focus Portal.

💻 How to Find the Logo on a Computer

  1. Log into your account on the PBS Parent Portal Login

  2. On the main dashboard screen, look for the official Florida Statewide Assessments logo (a blue, green, and orange graphic shaped like the state of Florida).

  3. Clicking this graphic will launch a secure window directly into the Florida Department of Education Family Portal to display your child's test results.

📱 How to Find the Logo on the BPS Focus App

  1. Open the BPS Focus APP

  2. Locate your child's Student Card

  3. Tap More Info at the top right of the student card.

  4. Select Reports then tap the Florida Statewide Assessments logo to load current and historical scores.

🌐 Language Support

If you need help translating your child’s FAST scores or would like to receive information in another language, we are happy to assist. Please contact Dr. Kimberly Watrin at Watrin.kimberly@brevardschools.org and we will ensure you receive translated materials or interpretation support.

🧭 Understanding the Scores

  • FAST assessments do not affect report card grades.

  • They are one part of a bigger picture that includes classwork, projects, and teacher feedback.

  • The results help us personalize support and instruction for your child.

🏠 How You Can Help at Home

  • Talk with your child about their progress in a positive, encouraging way.

  • Support reading and math skills with daily practice.

  • Stay in touch with your child’s teacher about areas needing extra support.
